When you open Word 2007, it will automatically start a blank 8 ½ x 11”
page (assuming you are using a version in the U.S.A.). I prefer to
have my margins set at half an inch on all sides. To achieve this,
you will need to reset your margins to .5” (half an inch) for the top,
bottom, left and right margins. To do this, click on the
“Page Layout”
tab.
When you click on the
“Page Layout” tab, a menu will open up. In
the second frame of this menu, you will see
“Margins”. Click on
“Margins”.
When you click on
“Margins” a new window will open up. Scroll down to
“Custom Margins…”
and click on that.
When you click on “Custom Margins…” a new window will open up. In that
window, set the margins to .5” for top, bottom, left, and right.
Gutter should remain 0”. Then click “OK”.
After you complete this process, the next time you go to create a
scrapbook page, this custom setting will appear in the drop down window
under “Margins”. This will make it a little quicker, when you go
to create another scrapbook page with these same margin settings.
