You can easily add a border around your scrapbook page. You can choose a
simple line, double lines, dashes or designs, in a variety of colors and
widths. There is also a wide variety of art borders to choose from.
To add a
border, click “Page Layout”,
then click on the “Page Border”
in the Page Layout menu bar (or "ribbon", as Microsoft now calls
it.). A pop up menu will open. There are three tabs to
choose from: “Border”,
“Page Border” and
“Shading”. You will
want to click on “Page Border”.
In the
“Page Border” menu, you
can choose a line style, the color of the line, and the width.
Under the “Setting”
choose
“Box” to apply the
selected border, or for a shadowing effect, choose
“Shadowing”. You can also click on the
“Art”
option, and choose
from the wide array of art borders.
You also have
the option to apply the border as a line, to just one side (or more) of the page.
To do this, click on the various icons on the right side of the
“Page Border”
menu, under
“Preview”.
Remember - if you are unhappy with a change you made
to your page, simply click the "undo"
icon in
the upper left hand corner of your screen, and it will undo your most
recent edit to the page.
