When you add a photograph to your page, there are different alignment
choices, to help position your picture. The default is normally
set to “In line with Text”,
which works fairly well when inserting a picture into a Word Document.
Yet, I find that setting the default to
“Behind Text”, makes it much easier to place and move
images around your page, when digitally scrapbooking.
To change
your default, click on the round
“Office
Button”, located on the upper left hand corner of the
screen. At the bottom of the menu that opens, click on
“Word Options”.
From “Word Options”,
Click on “Advanced”. In
the “Advanced” window,
scroll down to the options under “Cut,
Copy and Paste”. There you will change
“Insert/paste pictures as:”
to the “Behind Text”
option in the drop down menu, then click
“ok”.
You can
always change the photo’s alignment,
choosing
something other than “Behind the Text”,
by clicking on the image, then click on the
“Picture Tools” tab that pops up above the
ribbon menu. There you will go to “Text
Wrapping”, click, and choose from the choices in the
drop down menu.
